Phoenix Residential Society was very fortunate to receive some funding in 2020 through the Community Initiatives Fund Grant to run recreational and educational health promotion programs to improve the quality of lives of our residents. Another important aspect of the grant was to build employment and leadership skills in some of our peers through mentorship.
The following video is a summary of some of the programs we were able to run through the funds from the grant including our collaboration with the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor Science of Nursing Program Saskatchewan PolyTechnic/ University of Regina Year 4 Students who were completing their Community Placement Population Health and Community Partnership placement with us.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to our enthusiastic facilitators Debbie and Katlyn, our peer specialists Brian, Cole and Monica, our nursing students and their instructor who have all been great collaborators in making the grant a success.
